We start the process by going over the scope of work. What our clients are looking to have done. The next step may require referring our clients to an architect to get their dreams on paper. Once the client has a set of drawings we can give an accurate estimate of cost and time the project will take. I welcome and recommend our clients to get estimates from other contractors if they choose. Once the building plans are cleared by a structural engineer and meet the Title 24 requirements we submit them to the city for approval*. Once we obtain permits from the city we can legally start the construction process.
* The City of Long Beach and Lakewood have been very strict about approving plans that have any existing un-permitted work on the property. Common un-permitted work we see are things like patio covers, sheds, air conditioners, and additions. Often times un-permitted work must be added to the new building permit to be approved by a building inspector, or a structure must be moved or removed if it can not be brought up to modern code.
Working with our trusted employees and subcontractors, we keep them on track and on the job site throughout the entire build. We construct the project using the engineered plans and correct any exposed damage in the the existing structure.
The last step in any build. This phase includes site cleanup, tool removal, systems training, final inspections and move-in coordination. After completion, we have a final walkthrough to ensure your complete satisfaction. Then you can sit back and enjoy our work for many, many, years.
